Erika Contreras
Erika Contreras is the Executive Director of the Colonias Development Council (CDC), bringing over 20 years of service and more than 16 years of experience in immigration legal services. As a DOJ-accredited representative, Erika is dedicated to expanding access to immigration support, citizenship preparation, and family services.
A graduate of New Mexico State University, she provides strategic leadership and was honored with the 2026 “Distinguished Mexicans” Award by Mexico’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Institute for Mexicans Abroad (IME) for her dedication to migrant communities and community development.
