The CFDC includes a 5-Star, Pre-K Program that operates under the auspices of the Children, Youth, and Families Department (CYFD), Early Childhood Education (ECE) Program. The 5-Star rating provides the highest quality of early learning experience for the children in the community, while providing the teaching staff opportunities—all residents of Chaparral– for professional development in ECE. The CFDC serves over 50 children and families on a monthly basis. With the Extended Pre-Kinder Programs, the CFDC serves 29 families during any given academic year.

The CFDC provides a complete bilingual and bicultural variety of services for infants, toddlers, and children to assure they are ready and familiarized with the routines of school.
